India SWG dispatched a mission to India and visited Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited (Kota), Indian Oil (Mathura), Essar Oil (Mumbai), Bharat Petroleum (Mumbai), Hindustan Petroleum (Mumbai), cooperation with TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute-India) and FICCI (Federation of India Chambers of Commerce & Industry), which are counterpart of JASE-W, for the purpose of exploring smart energy projects of the petrochemical and fertilizer fields. Chiyoda Corporation and Toyo Engineering Corporation took part in. There has been great interest in Japan's petrochemical technologies, photovoltaic power and co-generation.
