[Activity Report] Visit by the Mongolian Government Delegation

On December 12, 2025, we welcomed a delegation of 10 Mongolian government officials in charge of energy conservation for a meeting with the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) and JASE-W.

During the meeting, the Japanese side introduced the activities of ECCJ and JASE-W, and provided explanations on Japan’s Energy Conservation Act, the Top Runner Program, and initiatives to promote Net Zero Energy Buildings (ZEB).

The Mongolian delegation shared updates on their current efforts regarding amendments to energy conservation laws and the introduction of a carbon market. A lively Q&A session followed, covering topics such as public-private partnerships in policy-making, environmental improvements in Ger districts, and the utilization of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM).

The delegation expressed strong interest, particularly in Japan’s ZEB standardization and energy diagnosis know-how, making this a highly meaningful opportunity to deepen cooperation between our two countries. JASE-W will continue to provide information and promote collaboration to support energy conservation in Mongolia.

Participation in Philippine Green Building Conference and meeting with ADB

JASE-W members participated in an international conference "Building Green 2025 (BG2025)" hosted by the Philippine Green Building Council (PhilGBC) from September 25, 2025. JASE-W made a presentation on our activities and our member companies; Azbil Corporation and AGC Inc., also made their presentations regarding the innovative technologies at the BC2025.

While awareness of sustainable development is very high in the Philippines, promoting projects requires deepening understanding of initiatives aimed at long-term investment returns. Going forward, to create business opportunities in the Philippines, we will prioritize focused approaches to major companies with solid financial foundations, large-scale projects, and local governments actively promoting decarbonization.

Regarding the meeting with ADB, we confirmed the progress of the Philippines Government Energy Efficiency Projects (GEEPs) program, scheduled for implementation in FY2027. The project prioritizes high-efficiency air conditioning and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, presenting a strong opportunity for JASE-W to make significant technical and product contributions.

Successful Zero Energy Building (ZEB) Workshop co-hosted with Brunei Government

On Thursday, August 28, the ZEB Solutions Working Group of JASE-W had a ZEB workshop in Brunei Darussalam co-hosted with a Ministry of Energy and Primary Resources, Brunei

Brunei is a country blessed with abundant natural resources, yet raising awareness about energy consumption remains a challenge. To ensure the nation's sustainable future, promoting “ZEB (Net Zero Energy Building)” that contributes to energy conservation under the leadership of the Brunei government is essential. This workshop was held to advance this initiative.

The event commenced with opening remarks from the Brunei Energy Department and Japan's Agency for Natural Resources and Energy(ANRE), Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI). Following an overview of the Brunei government's current status and policy direction, the ZEB solutions WG of JASE-W presented Japan's advanced ZEB policies, the energy simulation technology “WEBPRO,” and the world-leading energy-saving technologies from AGC Inc. and Sanken Setsubi Kogyo Co., Ltd.

Participants gathered from various ministries and agencies in Brunei listened attentively, leading to a lively and active Q&A session.

This workshop was not merely a technical presentation; it marked the first step in building a cooperative relationship between the Brunei government and JASE-W toward the development of zero-energy buildings in Brunei.
