The Latin America SWG of Energy Saving Solutions WG dispatched a mission to the South American countries, such as Brazil, Peru and Chile. In Brazil they made the presentation of Japanese energy
saving technologies and products at the Conference and Expo of Brazil Energy Efficiency (COBEE) hosted by Brazilian ESCO Association (ABESCO)
They also visited the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), and discussed and studied the energy saving promotion program in the energy-intensive industries.
In Peru they visited companies and promoted the JICA’s financial program of energy saving. As Chile is the partner country of Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), they appealed the JCM scheme
and investigate the practical use of JCM for energy saving and renewable energy business.
